Story
The 14th of February 2024 will mark 10 years since we said goodbye to Sarah Radukic. In her memory, we'll be running the London Marathon to raise money for Marie Curie.
The support of Marie Curie nurses was beyond valuable in Sarah's final months - we simply wouldn't have functioned without them. Two or three times a week, when all other medical professionals went home, Marie Curie nurses helped care for Sarah. This not only allowed Bran some rest, but gave us some cherished time together as a family.
We're taking on the London Marathon not just to remember Sarah, but also to give something back, and hopefully help those who find themselves in a similar position to how we were.
All the money that is raised helps Marie Curie Nurses provide vital care and support to people with terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
£20 pays for one hour of vital nursing care at home for someone living with a terminal illness.
£57 pays for an hour of clinical support from an expert nurse via our Support Line.
£180 pays for a whole night of care from a Marie Curie Nurse.
