Kirsty (Lucas’s Mum) and I are running Worcester City half Marathon on Sunday 15th September to raise money to support Duchenne UK, a charity that has one clear aim: to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
We are running and raising money to help support Lucas, who is 8 years old and lives with Duchenne (DMD) every day. Please give what you can 🙏🏼 We are feeling very underprepared so every penny will help us get over that finish line!!
DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys.
Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.
