Story
I commit to run a minimum of 20 minutes EVERY day from November 30th 2023, to February 16th 2024. I also commit to be completely sober throughout the entire challenge - that includes Christmas and New Year!
Why the SeventyNine?
Now in its 4th year, the challenge was born out of adversity. When my friends twin daughters were born prematurely and admitted to the NICU, they felt helpless. After receiving the devastating news that one of their girls needed open heart surgery, they found strength in community and positivity. The 79 days represents the time spent in the hospital before their daughter could finally come home. Their struggle is over but for some families it is just beginning.
As a twin father myself, who feels lucky to have ‘only’ spent 13 days in NICU with my twins, this challenge is close to me.
