Join us on this 'once in a lifetime' trek to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2024! One of the famed 7 Summits, this lone mountain dominates the African horizon.

Story

I am taking on the iconic challenge of trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro as part of Team Helimed 29 and raising vital funds for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance!

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UKs leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people like you! We are not part of the NHS and not funded by the Government.

At a time when every second counts, the arrival of our iconic yellow helicopter really can mean the difference between life and death.

We transport the equivalent of an A&E department to people suffering from the most serious of illnesses and devastating injuries, providing the best possible treatment as quickly as possible.

As the unit engineer i take great pride in being part of the team here at Lincs and Notts AA. Im often challenged to react to aircraft issues to keep the team flying safely to patients in need. I feel its only right to represent the team and personally take on this great mission to the very top of Africa for such a great cause.
