In honour of Andrew Small - Raising funds for The Children's Trust

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Every year 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness, with many not able to access the support they need.
My father in law Andrew was one of these children. Back in 1968 Andrew had treatment at GOSH for his brain illness. He survived but his life would never be the same after this.
Andrew grew up, built a life, got married and raised two daughters. Sadly however Andrew had to overcome so many further illnesses and challenges (it was a long list) he dealt with each illness with a smile and always had a remarkable way of looking at the positives.
Sadly Andrew passed away in July 2024. In his honour I'm running the London Marathon and raising funds for a charity that he would be proud of.
Andrew didn't ask for much in life, so I'm asking for him. And all of the thousands of kids who need our help.
Be kind, smile and eat cake.
xXx
(The Children's Trust aim is to reach and support more children with brain injury to give them the best life possible. Donations will help The Children's Trust with their goal, allowing the Trust to provide specialist rehabilitation, education and community services across the UK.)
