On Sunday, 6th April 2025, we’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Prost8 UK!🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️

After the success of the Great North Run last September where we raised over £1,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, we're starting to train for another half marathon one final time before our wedding this summer💒. This time, together we are raising vital funds for 'Prost8 UK', a charity dedicated to offering hope and life-changing treatments to men facing prostate cancer🩵

The funds we raise will help Prost8 purchase, donate, and deploy at least 6 state-of-the-art focal therapy treatment suites to NHS hospitals across the UK🏥. These minimally invasive treatments will provide thousands of men with medium-grade, treatable prostate cancer access to advanced care that wasn’t available before❤️‍🩹

Charities for prostate cancer holds a special place in our hearts. This June marks 7 years since prostate cancer took the life of my (Chris) dad, Richard Wilkes at just 60 years old. Not a second goes by that we don’t feel his absence, a loss that left an irreplaceable void in our family. If only we’d had more awareness about early detection and diagnosis, things might have been different. That’s why we’re passionate about raising awareness and funds to help others avoid the heartbreak we’ve endured❤️

In the next 10 years, half a million men in the UK will hear the words, “You have prostate cancer.” But with early intervention and better access to innovative treatments like focal ablation, thousands of lives can be changed - and saved. Prost8 is working tirelessly to make this a reality, and with your help, we can bring this vision closer to life.
