I am rock climbing and campaigning against climate change. I am rock climbing every day until I climb the height of Mt Everest. #climbingfortheclimate
This section contains my story, phases, social media and challenge rules.
2023 was 1.48°C warmer than pre industrial levels. The warmest year on record. I am rock climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest to raise money for Friends of the Earth. To achieve this, I'm climbing every day at an average of roughly 50m per day. Full rules of the challenge below
Last year, my friends and family raised over £500 for Friends of the Earth during my birthday fund raiser. Thank you to all involved for the generous gifts of funds to this great cause! Thank you to everyone this year for contributing.
Friends of the Earth have spent over 40 years protecting the planet. They need our help as they rely on public support to continue their work.
They have won new laws to protect our water, wildlife, landscapes, climate and health. But to face the challenges ahead, there needs to be a more positive relationship between people and the environment.
Together, with Friends of the Earth, our voice is louder, our actions more significant, our impact greater. Together, we are determined to change the world for good, for everyone.
