As most of you may know, my Dad sadly passed away on 1st Nov 2023 after struggling with a series of life-changing illnesses over recent years, but ultimately it was the prostate cancer that was one battle too many.

We are raising this money to show our appreciation for the continued support Dr Kershaw’s provided, through ongoing support (both 1-1 and group counselling) and were always available to offer help, advice and an empathetic ear whenever needed...for both my Dad and my Mum.

We are looking to hike from my apartment in Sowerby Bridge to Devonport Crescent (his home for more than 45 years), via Honley, where he worked up until his retirement in 2017 (way past his retirement age!).

The trek will be >30miles long and take approximately 12hrs (plus breaks) to complete. Becki suggested running it....I nearly spat out my wine!

We will update and post the final route closer to the time, as I’m sure some of you would like to see us along the way, or to join us for a small section as this day would also have been my Dad’s Birthday.
