Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of you will be aware that I was involved in a road accident in 2014 in which I suffered a traumatic brain injury. It has been a long and difficult struggle to come to terms with the changes in my life however the ‘lightbulb moment’ for my acceptance came through a fortuitous invitation to join in The Silver Lining Charity activities, based in the South of England. Meeting people who have had similar experiences and together achieving things we thought were not possible has undoubtedly changed my outlook and self esteem.

I am now working with the organisers to set up a North of England branch so that other people in my part of the country with similar injuries can benefit from the interactions that this charity can offer. This is the driver behind my decision to travel to Salisbury on 1st September and jump out of a plane at 15,000ft in order to fundraise for something I feel so strongly about.
