Story
My Name is Chris Brian, and I started running just after the COVID pandemic. Since then, I have been running as much as my body allows me to. As you may know, I have experience working with both campaigns and volunteering with refugees, asylum seekers, and migrant workers. Otherwise known as human beings.
I still believe passionately in equal rights for all, even as hatemongers and right-wing shills try to divide us.
Hence, this year, Oasis is a community space in the heart of Cardiff, which gives a warm Welsh welcome to around 2500 people seeking sanctuary per year across South Wales. They empower them to reach their aspirations for themselves and their families by providing:
💙 access to the essentials
💙 education and career pathways
💙 community integration activities to build relationships at Oasis and in their local communities
💙 opportunities to influence the services and systems that impact their lives
"Oasis was the first place that embraced us in the UK. After 12 years of moving from one place to another, leaving our homeland behind torn by war, Oasis felt like family."
