RE:ACT is an emergency response charity whose strength comes from using the skills of of its responders to provide direct humanitarian action to the most vulnerable, in the hardest to reach places both here at home and across the UK.

As one of REACT's responders I am, of course, biased. We are powered by some of the greatest people I have ever met - our responders come from all works of life, truly making every day a school day for us all.

We help affected populations whether they are impacted by floods or fire, hurricane or earthquake. We have stepped in to support refugees from all nations, when they need it most. We continue to ensure the people of Ukraine have access to medical and personal supplies, hot food and other support that is still being defined by continuing to develop and mature our partnerships in the region.

We sent two waves of responders into Türkiye at the start of this year, with our first 'eyes on' arriving within the first 36-48hrs of the event.

We are a small charity with a big heart, and huge strength. Why wouldn't I want to help raise money so we can continue to support all of the truly life-changing things we do.

Kilimanjaro will be my biggest personal challenge to date. There is more to come, but for now this is where I am focused. It is an eight-day trek as testing as some of the training we are provided at REACT, with the added challenge of dealing with altitude. 5895m will be a new experience.

I cannot do this alone, I will be trekking with my younger brother Alex, in addition to all the support from family, friends and REACT.
