Hello everyone,  

So, every year, I enter my name into the ballot for the London Marathon, but secretly feel a deep sigh of relief when I don’t get a place. Having said this, I have decided that 2024 is the year and have entered with a charity place.  

I am running for Starlight. A remarkable charity dedicated to providing children in hospitals with the opportunity to experience what all children should - the magic of play!  

As a primary school teacher in Reception, I witness the transformative power of play in the lives of our little ones every day. Starlight’s mission is to boost the wellbeing and resilience of children during their illness, offering them moments of joy, distraction, and laughter when they need it most.  

For me, this marathon will be a huge challenge, but will hopefully be made a little easier knowing that the money I raise will have a meaningful impact on the lives of these brave children. With your support, we can help create a brighter and more playful world for children who are going through the toughest times.
