Story

Supporting Billy’s Battalion – My Half Marathon Challenge

My mum and I are running a half marathon to raise funds for Billy’s Battalion, a charity dedicated to raising awareness of paediatric DIPG brain cancer. DIPG is a devastating and vastly underfunded disease, affecting around 40 children in the UK each year.

By donating, you’ll be supporting the UK DIPG research charity, Abbie’s Army, helping to improve the lives of those affected and working towards finding a cure. My house, at school, has chosen to support this incredible cause as we are connected to Billy’s family. Billy passed away on Easter Sunday, 31st March 2024, after a brutal five-month battle post-diagnosis.

I want to do my part to help make a difference. Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards supporting those in need. Please consider contributing—your support means the world!

Responsible for 80% of all brain tumour death we raise vital research funds to give hope to DIPG families.
