I've been lucky enough to be selected to participate in one of Girlguiding's GOLD (Guiding Overseas Linked with Development) projects in 2024, with myself and five other Girlguiding UK members working in partnership with Madagascar Mpanazava to continue to develop guiding opportunities for girls and young women.

The overarching purpose of this project is to support Mpanazava to embed facilitation and non-formal education methods in the delivery of their programme to girls.

This will enable Mpanazava to develop an increasing number of confident, self-assured members who are then empowered to tackle wider issues in their communities such as sanitation, environmental action and access to education.

I'm incredibly excited to have the opportunity to support Mpanazava in empowering generations of strong, self-assured women, who feel confident in making a change!
