Story
On 5th April, 2023, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Jacob Joseph Pierpoint, into the world. We had a short amount of time with him while he was alive before he sadly passed away. Jacob was very poorly and his kidneys hadn’t developed meaning his lung development was affected.
We found out at 31 weeks pregnant that Jacob was very unlikely to survive birth, if he even made it that far. We feel extremely lucky that he fought right till the end to make sure he got to meet his mummy and daddy.
During the 7 agonising weeks from hearing the worst news you could ever expect to hear, to him being born, I reached out to sands who were fantastic. They sent us a memory box to create memories with Jacob which we will cherish forever. Their bereavement team also supported me when I felt so alone and had no one else to talk to.
2000 squats in a month might not seem a lot to some, but at 12 weeks postpartum is going to be more difficult for me than usual!
Thank you for taking the time to read.
