In memory of Ronni & Freddi Johnson
Welcome to Ronni & Freddi's mission to raise awareness, support, funds for research and hopes of a cure for everyone with mitochondrial disease. Ronni tragically passed away in July 2023 aged just 10, his baby brother, Freddi aged 5 days in 2014.

Story

On July 10th 2023 while on a family holiday, we lost Ronni, aged 10 years old. On 24th August 2014, we lost Freddi, aged just 5 days old.

Both of our boys had Mitochondrial disease - a life-limiting genetic condition, which meant their bodies did not produce energy normally. As their bodies tried to grow, demanding energy that it could not produce, they ultimately declined. Both boys fought as hard as they could and we miss them so much, always.

In memory of the boys, and in support of My Mito Mission, me, Becky & our friend Sofie are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Not only to raise vital funds for research to help those with mito disease, but those with cancer, dementia, epilepsy etc which all share the common thread of dysfunctional mitochondria.

You don’t have to dig deep - just £1 will help towards our goal. If not, please share the following link, or Ronni and Freddi’s story which is also in my bio.

Our missions are run by families affected by mitochondrial disease, mito for short. MILLIONS in the UK have illnesses which also involve mitochondrial damage - diabetes, MS, stroke, some cancers & many more. More research into mitochondrial disease could help so many, not just those with mito.
