Story
It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news: the recent, extreme flooding has left our Sea Cadets unit in ruins.
A unit that hosts 50 young people each week and has helped to shape hundreds of lives has been left unrecognisable.
Every single building has been affected, all uniform has been lost, equipment, resources and facilities will require replacement at a large cost.
Chippenham Sea Cadets helps launch young people for life through nautical adventure and fun, for almost 80 years we have been doing this at our site near Long Close, Chippenham. A number of other groups also use our site meaning the impact of these floods is huge.
We refuse to give up on our mission to our young people we serve each week, as an independent charity we urgently need YOUR help to start the extensive work needed to clean-up, make the site safe and to begin disposal and replacement.
The road ahead is overwhelming and we urgently need your help.
Your donations will allow us to begin drying out and cleaning all of our site.
Your donations will go towards replacing equipment including chairs, tables, STEM & cooking equipment.
Your donations will allow us to rebuild for our young people.
Every single donation will bring us closer to restoring our unit and giving our young people a place to thrive, learn new skills and develop friendships to last a lifetime.
This is our urgent appeal for help, if you can please donate to our appeal, share our page with friends, family & colleagues.
Thank You
