Event: Tommy's D-Day Trek, on 7 June 2024
Tommy’s D-Day Trek is a fundraising challenge designed to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in 1944.

Story

On Friday 7th June a group of 16 of us from Chevron will be taking part in RBLI's D-Day 80 night-time trek to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The trek will start from midnight through the North Downs in Kent to raise vital funds to support Royal British Legion Industries. The Trek will cover 44km across the beautiful Kent countryside, through villages, fields and woodland whilst ending up in the beautiful village of Chilham at the historic Chilham Castle on the morning of Saturday 8th June.

Taking part in this challenge from the mighty Team Chevron are as follows:

**Suzy Woodford, Maria King-Smith, Stuart Abram, Colin Hick's, Martin Osman, Leo Stringer, Daniel Palmer, Amanda Talbert, Carol Castlo, Ewen Frazer ,Danny Price, Lee Cordingley, Bahadur Singh Nagra, Simon Chamberlain & Keith Smith**

With every penny raised, Royal British Legion Industries can provide lifelong care and support veterans from every service and conflict, their families, and those with disabilities.

A few pounds can quickly mount up and help fund things like PTSD treatment for a person in need, a day out for an elderly veteran, a helpline for vulnerable people, a safe roof overhead, access to work and support getting back to civvie street.

Please help me to raise much-needed funds for this incredible cause.
