Story
St Cuthbert’s Hospice provides specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and the bereaved. We make no charge for our services, ensuring Hospice care is available to everyone. It costs over £2 million each year to keep St Cuthbert's Hospice running.
We'd just like to share with you the arrangements for our sponsored Santa Walk! This is in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice and takes place this coming Friday (8th December 2023).
The children from Pre-School through to Year 6 will all take part in a walk - all at the same time! We will be leaving school at approximately 1:15 PM and will walk the following route:
- Leave school via the main entrance and car park
- Scardale Way
- Ullerdale Close
- Dinsdale Drive
- Thorndale Road
- Brackendale Road
- Cheveley Park
- Cheveley Shop
... and back!
Please ensure that your child has a warm coat and appropriate footwear.
We would love it if parents, carers and friends of families could line the route (outlined above) and cheer the children (and staff!) on. We would like to make a presence in our community and show just how much supporting local charities means to us.
Sponsor forms have already been sent home with children. Christmas is an expensive time of year so we really appreciate any amount of sponsorship at this time. Can we ask that this is sent into school with children by Wednesday 13th December please.
Once again, we hope to see as many of you as possible on Friday afternoon and thank you for your ongoing support for our children.
