Story
We cannot imagine not having clean, running water in our homes, yet the reality is that so many people in countries around the world do not have this luxury that we take for granted.
In many countries children - often girls - walk an average of 6km every day for water that is dirty and unsafe. But they have no choice. Every day, nearly 1,000 children under five die from diarrhoea because of dirty water, poor sanitation and unsafe hygiene practices.
In September I am planning to walk 6km every day to raise money for World Vision, a Christian charity who help - among other things - to get clean water to villages so that children do not have to walk for water, but instead can go to school and get an education.
Would you be willing to sponsor me to help me reach my goal? Any amount - large or small will go a long way to help these people.
