Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Chelsea was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome (LQTS) just before her 18th Birthday. LQTS is a heart signaling disorder that can cause fast chaotic heartbeats. LQTS can cause sudden fainting and seizures. Young people with LQTS have an increased risk of heart failure and sudden death.
On the 2nd June 2023 aged 23, Chelsea sadly lost her fight with this unseen illness. I am hoping to raise money in Chelsea's memory for Heart Research UK so other families don't have to go through the pain and heartache that we have suffered.
There has been an update and we now know that Chelsea actually passed away due to a mutation in the Titan gene that leads to Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM). We have found out now that both myself and Abby have this gene mutation and unfortunately I have the heart condition DCM and this means that some significant lifestyle changes are required, one of which is not being able to do the sky-dive.
There is a positive, Peter (who wont even go up a ladder) will now be doing the sky-dive (subject to a health check). So please give more to this cause, if we make £10,000 then maybe we could ask for a no parachute jump :). This is one time that he may actually be quiet, so surely that is worth paying for :)
I would also like to thank everyone who has supported us during this time and who will support this great charity in Chelsea's memory.
