Story
I have Multiple Sclerosis 🧡
And that means my whole family have to do this long walk with me for MS society charity 😜
I had my first relapse a day after my 23rd birthday. First fact- this diagnosis is not just for old people (like I first thought) in fact most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40!
The morning after my 23rd birthday I thought I just had the worst hangover of my life but a hangover doesn’t usually stop your legs from working and create multiple lesions in your brain and spinal cord. 🤣✌🏽
MS is a disease that causes your immune system to attack its own body - the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord and optic nerve). This causes a number of neurological symptoms that can be temporary or permanent and range from person to person.
I have relapse and remitting MS which at the very worsed has meant my relapses have left me having to re learn how to walk and at best left me nearly weeing myself multiple times a day 🥹.
The range of symptoms can last for anywhere up to a year to erm …forever due to the damage that’s has been caused to the CNS.
I am lucky enough to now have hardcore infusions every 6 weeks to try and prevent the progression of MS and help me kick its ass.
I am thankful research means there are more options for treatment but more always needs to be done. I would like to ask you to help me in supporting the MS society charity in finding new treatments, research and support by donating to our page whilst we walk across London (Mum, Dad, Brogan, Jordan, Taylor and I)
To everyone who has read and donated thank you 🙏🏽
To all MS’ers I hope in our life time they find a cure. Between now & then know you’re amazing🧡🎗
