Hello, rootsrat here!
I am a 44 years young passionate gamer and 5 years ago I started streaming live on Twitch. I received a lot of help and support from many people and now to celebrate my 5th Twitch anniversary I am once again giving back the love and positive energy I've received!
This is the 4th CHEESE event and - just like the last year, I am doing this in memory of beloved Michael Brookes, who was not only an amazing, loving and kind human being, but also an avid supporter of SpecialEffect.
What is it though, I are hear you ask! SpecialEffect is a charity that is transforming the lives of physically disabled people across the world through the innovative use of technology. At the heart of their work is a mission to maximise fun and quality of life by helping people control video games to the best of their abilities, but that’s just the start. The event starts on Saturday, 24th August 2024 at 15:00 BST (16:00 CET). I will be streaming for over 12 hours, potentially up to 24, depending on my health. There will be interviews, gaming, contests, raffle and much more!
The only reason this event is possible is because of the immense community support. So! The total amount raised at all the CHEESE events is currently £3789.88.
If we manage to raise £1500 this year again, we can maintain a steady pace. Can we have a 1500 quid hattrick? Let's find out!
