In support of British Red Cross
We would ask that staff and students wear something white for the mufti day on Thursday 28 March to signify the importance of peace and how humanitarian aid can help support individuals in conflict zones.
We are all aware of the ongoing humanitarian crisis that has been happening in the Middle East , in particular the ongoing Israel-Gaza Conflict. The British Red Cross is working with the International Committee of the Red Cross to support civilians on both sides of the conflict caught up in the terrible events and ongoing circumstances. The appeal is providing basic humanitarian support for individuals as well as support with the transfer of hostages and psychological support for individuals and their families on return.
As a school community, we ask that our students be compassionate and understand that we should support individuals who have been and continue to be impacted by the horrific events of the 7 October and the ongoing conflict as a result. In raising money for the British Red Cross Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territory Appeal we recognise that civilians from all communities are suffering and we are showing our support for all. The Red Cross is an impartial organisation supporting all and delivering support to families caught up in events that are not their doing but are impacting on them greatly.
