Story

NEWS FLASH!! DUE TO THE IW FESTIVAL CLOSING PART OF THE PLANNED ROUTE THE DATE HAS BEEN BROUGHT FORWARD TO SUNDAY 4TH JUNE ... THIS WEEKEND!!!

My name is Charlotte and I am 10 years old. In 2021 I walked a marathon in 5 days and raised £1500 for the Cats on the Island, then last year I rode a Marathon on my bike in 8 hours and raised another £1100.

This year mummy has worked with me to create a new challenge. I wanted to complete a triathlon, so we looked at a Sprint triathlon (Approximately 16 miles in total) but I am doing it "Charlotte Style". This means that instead of swimming the first mile I will be rollerblading it instead!

I will be setting off from Sandown and rollerblading to near the Bay School Secondary site where I will collect my bike. From here I will follow the long cycle path in and through Newport and up to the Island Harbour (Approx 12 miles). From here I will say goodbye to my bike and complete the last 3 miles on foot, jogging (probably more walking by then) through the public footpaths to the Wootton station of the steam railway and then on again through the off road paths to Wootton Bridge where I will finally finish at the Sloop Inn!

I love animals, especially cats and want to carry on raising money so that they can rescue cats and feed them whilst they are waiting for their "furever" homes.
