Fundraising for The Harvey Hext Trust
For those of you who don’t know, I started running back in September 2024 doing couch to 5k with my local running club. One of my goals for 2025 was to run a half marathon which I had planned to do towards the end of the year but this opportunity came up and I thought I’d set myself the challenge.
Now, onto the more important topic. The charity I am fundraising for is the Harvey hext trust. This is a small charity based in Bristol founded by Sarah Hext after sadly loosing her 9 year old son to cancer.
The Harvey Hext Trust provides specialist bespoke wooden Memory boxes for bereaved children.Memory boxes promote positive mental health in children by offering a safe environment for them to explore their emotions. We want to help children to understand they are not alone in their grief and eventually to be able to celebrate the life of the person who has died and smile when they think of them. We have supported hundreds of children and with your help we will continue to offer our vital gift service.
I would really recommend reading this family’s story in more detail as it is truly touching.
