This is a charity that is close to mine and my families hearts, our beautiful dad was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer on the 19th of August 2024.

The prognosis for this type of cancer is currently at 1-2 years due to the lack of treatment options that are available, if we was wanting other treatments we would be expected to pay private once all treatment had been used.

Currently only 1% of funding goes towards research within brain cancer and brain tumours and this has to change. We are wanting to do this charity walk to help raise money towards research within brain cancers which may help treatment options available to others including my dad within the future.

Half of the money raised will be donated to Western Park Cancer Charity to thank them for everything that they have done so far, the rest as stated will be given to The National Brain Appeal so we can help towards research costs.

The walk will be done from Wickersley through to Western Park Hospital, if anyone would like to join you are more than welcome!
