Story
Andy’s story and reason for fundraising for Spoons.
In May 2023, my son Noah was born 9 weeks premature. He was in NICU for nearly 5 weeks at Wythenshawe hospital where he was looked after by the dedicated staff. It was here where we were first introduced to Spoons. As well as receiving a pack containing helpful and relevant information about the journey ahead in NICU from Spoons, we were introduced to special support councillors and given information regarding the many help and support groups after leaving NICU. Charlotte has benefitted hugely from these weekly classes just by having the opportunity to meet and talk to other parents that have also been through the NICU journey.
Without the generosity from the public, Spoons wouldn’t be able to offer this level of help and support to parents.
