Back to Back – a Sweater in a Day!

Cotswold Woolgatherers will soon begin training for the International Back to Back challenge 2024 – this will be the fifth time that the team from Stroud has competed in the international event to handshear a sheep, handspin around 600gm of yarn and handknit an adult sized sweater, all in one day.

In 2009 our team of seven spinners and knitters completed the sweater in 9 hours 40 minutes 13 seconds and were placed 10 th fastest in the world!

The challenge will take place on Sunday 19 th May 2024. Sheep and shearer will start the fun at 9am!
