Story
On 18th October 2023, our wonderful friend Charlie was diagnosed with Stage 4, incurable lung cancer. After approximately 4 months only of a lingering cough, a tight chest and sore ribs he was completely blindsided and his world turned upside down. With the help of the amazing Professor Popat at The Royal Marsden, a liquid biopsy identified that Charlie has an extremely rare form of non-small cell lung cancer named ALK Positive. There is currently no cure for this type of cancer and the median life expectancy is under 7 years. At 39 and with a young family, this was, and continues to be, simply agony to hear.
We will be taking part in the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge on the 17th May - a 42km (marathon distance) hike in one day to raise money for this incredibly important cause.
Every single penny raised will go directly in to Professor Popat's fund for Lung Cancer Research.
Please help us to raise as much as we can to this charity so dear to our hearts and supporting our amazing friend Charlie and the Paton family, Charlotte and Poppy ❤️
