Story
Members of North Petherton Football and Cricket Clubs are coming together to organise a fundraising event for Charlie Coles, who is a valued member of both clubs.
Charlie, who is 17 years old, has been a big part of both teams for a number of years. A reliable and well-liked teammate, he gives everything on the pitch and is known for his commitment and positive attitude. He had been unwell for some time and was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2025.
Since then, he has gone through an intensive treatment plan and is now on the road to recovery. Throughout this incredibly challenging time, Charlie and his family have shown remarkable strength, resilience and positivity.
Both clubs have come together to raise funds for two charities that have supported Charlie and his family during this time. Donations made through this page will go to Young Lives vs Cancer, while money raised on the day will support the Teenage and Young Adults Cancer Unit at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. All funds raised will be shared as evenly as possible between the two, ensuring both causes receive equal support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference.
