Story
Next April, I will be participating in the London Marathon 2025 to support Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. This incredible charity provides vital care and support to families when needed most. The marathon marks the final challenge in my journey to complete the London Classics, and I am honoured to dedicate this milestone to such a meaningful cause.
For those of you who would like to know more about Noah's Ark:
Noah's Ark Children's Hospice was established by Michael McInerney following the death of a child in his close family in a local hospital. Unhappy with the options available for the child, he launched Noah's Ark's care for children and families in 2006 after years of fundraising. Noah's Ark Children's Hospice helps babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, make the most of every day. And the charity supports those who do die young to do so in as much comfort as possible, surrounded by family.
By providing exceptional care, organising fun activities and days out, Noah's Ark helps families do things they never thought possible. We help those we support to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients; as families, not just as carers. We support over 350 children and families across North and Central London every year.
We believe that every baby, child and young person who is seriously unwell, and their loved ones, should have access to expert and compassionate palliative care from the point of diagnosis. Partnering with London's NHS trusts we have built a home, a community and a team to make that difference.
With your generous donations, we can make a significant difference in the lives of these courageous individuals and their loved ones. Thank you for considering supporting this important cause.
