Story

This year I am raising money during World Down Syndrome Day for Down Syndrome UK by walking 21k in a 21 hour window.

At 33 weeks pregnant we found out our little girl Easter had Down Syndrome and although scary we were pointed in the direction of Down Syndrome UK. Their website and social media pages shared positive and hopeful stories of families in situations similar to ours. The facebook group has been a lifeline for me, meeting lots of new friends and being a place for guidance when needed.

Every pound raised helps make a positive impact on individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Down Syndrome UK personally have been a huge support to our family, not only when we received Easter’s diagnosis but since, through providing helpful seminars and training which will help us understand to better support Easter and her needs. These tools help to educate and support so many families and empower our beautiful babies as well as raise awareness for the Down Syndrome community. Any donation or support is so greatly appreciated.
