Story
10 years ago this year we lost one of the kindest, funniest, most confident characters and best friend Natalie.
She was only 27 but lived life to the full, and is missed every single day by all the people she knew.
Having met Natalie in secondary school, we went through all the life stages, getting into uni, going clubbing, (I still have many blurry photos from a digital camera I would take out!) working together in a call centre often until 4am chatting quoting Wayne's World.
Natalie passed away suddenly from a heart attack which was brought on by a chronic autoimmune disease called Scleroderma.
There is no cure for scleroderma, but treatment focuses on managing the symptoms and preventing complications. Medications, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes may be recommended to help manage the condition.
I am attempting my first marathon at Dorney Lake on 8th October 2023 to support Scleroderma & Raynaud's UK (SRUK) which is the only UK Charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with scleroderma and Raynaud's phenomenon.
