Story

This page is to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru in memory of Charlie’s wonderful uncle, Kevin Watkins, as we prepare to take part in the Porthcawl Christmas Morning swim (without wetsuits!).

The annual swim, which started in 1965, attracts over a thousand swimmers from across the UK who spend Christmas morning raising money for charities by swimming in the very cold sea.

Thank you for kind donation to an important cause that supports so many families we know x

We will post updates on our preparation and of the event itself. Waiting to hear on the fancy dress theme…

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
