Story

Since losing my wife 6 years ago, I have recieved so much support from this wonderful peer network. Many young Widows are not aware of WAY Widowed and Young or the peer support network that they enable. A big part of our life together was finding new daft challenges, so taking part in this event gives me a target that she would have thought was particularly daft but also gives me the opportunity to give back to the charity that allows us to connect to other people who just get it. I have postponed this event twice now because it is far and away the daftest one that I have done and the training has been too much for me. It has taken a lot of work to be in the position where I feel like the training is actually going to get me to the end of this epic run.
