Story
Kimberley was 31-year-old when she was given the devastating news that she had terminal cancer. Kimberley was diagnosed with Liver and Lung cancer after being admitted to hospital with stomach pains in early 2021.
Doctors then gave Kimberley who is Mum to Kiera aged 11 and Jack aged 5 the heart-breaking news she only has up to 12 months to live.
She was diagnosed with Cancer of the Liver and Lungs however this was not the Primary and they still never found the main primary source so was then diagnosed with Cancer of the Unknown Primary.
The best options for Kimberley was a Trial treatment that had never been used before to give her some extra time with her Children and Family.
She put up a massive fight for 18 month with huge amounts of treatments which made her very unwell throughout her illness.
Kimberley sadly lost her battle on 15th July 2022 aged 32 leaving all her family and friends devastated.
Macmillan were a massive support forKimberley throughout her illness and provided huge amounts of help and support, so on Sunday 16th July 2023 we are organising a Charity Football match in Memory of Kimberley. We hope to raise a lot of money for this fantastic cause and Charity who supports so many in difficult times.
Kimberley’s niece Katie plays for Ponteland Ladies Football Club who will be participating in the event along with Consett Ladies AFC who have kindly offered to be the home team.
