As many of you know, I have a heart for young people. I recently retired as a foster carer, having spent the past 35 years helping to support over 80 teenagers and young adults. Many of the young people that lived with me and my family remain integral members of my family to this day, and it has been my blessing to watch them grow into happy, confident, loving adults.

A few years ago I was honoured to be asked to become an ambassador for the Starr Trust, my number one charity. The Starr Trust removes roadblocks for young people to help them succeed and thrive in whatever they put their minds to. Their mission as a charity directly aligns with my values. I have always impressed upon the young people that lived with me the importance of education and following their dreams and passions.

This is the year that I turn 70! I decided that I wanted to do at least 70 things over the course of this year that brings me joy.

My main goal is to raise a minimum of £7000 for the Starr Trust. I will be donating 10% of all profits from all events / jobs that I do over the course of my 70 th birthday year May 2025 - May 2026. I am throwing a MEGA 1970's themed birthday party, and I have asked that all my guests donate to the Starr Trust in leiu of any birthday gifts. I am also reaching out to my social networks, subscribers, customers, clients, friends, family, anyone and everyone, asking them to donate whatever they can to this amazing charity to help me raise a minimum of £7000. I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS !!!!
