I can share this now because I finally have some training kms under my belt... We are taking a walk on the wild side!

Myself and my colleagues at MAPAL Group, James and Emma, are raising money for Springboard by taking on a physical challenge in Cambodia in April 2024.

We’ll be packing lots into two weeks in Cambodia. The trip starts with 3 days working with a local charity, helping to build accommodation which will support eco-tourism in the area. This is much needed, especially since Covid. Local families are putting us up in their homes, and kindly letting us share their dinner tables which will be an incredible experience. We’ll also be spending some time at a local school to deliver donations.

Then, we’ll head out to the Kulen mountains and start our 5 day, 100km trek! The trek itself will be over pretty challenging terrain, in humidity and at an altitude that we're not used to. We'll also be sleeping in the wild...

Springboard are an incredible charity. They support people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life with barriers into employment to fall in love with hospitality, leisure and tourism, as well as gain skills, knowledge and experience needed to forge a career in these amazing industries. Without the great work of these guys, the lives of some may take a very different path.

We are really proud to support them! Even if it means camping. With bugs. And potentially some dangerous animals. It's cool though cos we have an armed guard every night... 😎
