When I signed up for the Peak District Mighty Hike at the start of the year, it was no different to the fundraising challenge walks I've done for Macmillan in the past.

But in early May, I received the devastating news that my amazing wife (and best friend) Linda Landells, had been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer.

I'm now seeing first hand the incredible work that the Macmillan team does to help people like Linda navigate an uncertain future and live their lives to the full.
