Four of us, Lissa, Emma, Caroline and Anna, have decided we are crazy enough to attempt swimming to France

So at the end of September that is what we shall try and achieve in order to raise some money for an incredible charity.

Medical Life Lines Ukraine has (as of the end of June 2024) delivered 65 aid-filled ambulances to Ukraine alongside 21 generators and one all-terrain rescue crane since Putin's illegal full-blown invasion of Ukraine. This work has undoubtedly saved lives and - perhaps more importantly - shown the people of Ukraine that a huge number of people in the outside world are acutely aware of their plight and keen to help them in whatever way that they can.

It costs some £15k to buy, recondition and deliver an ambulance to Ukraine and this money is raised by wonderful volunteer fundraiser-drivers. We are hoping to raise £7000 in order to fund one driver (there are two per ambulance).

Any excess funds are used to buy medical and other aid, additional equipment and vehicles needed by the emergency services.
