On December 18th, 2023, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with Leukaemia. This news came as a shock to everyone and turned Chris's life upside down. He spent several weeks in the hospital receiving medical treatment and fighting a battle he never imagined he would have to face. Although he is still undergoing treatment, Chris is slowly but surely getting back to himself. However, he has faced a lot of pain and difficulties during this time.

Chris has always been someone who helps others, gives back to the community, and donates to those in need. That's why I have decided to run in Chris's name and raise awareness and support for cancer patients.

Cure Leukaemia is a charity organisation that helps blood cancer patients access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.
