Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Challenge 150 JustGiving page.

As a group of people that have been affected directly or indirectly by breast cancer, we wanted to take action and Challenge 150 was born. Our mission is to raise awareness about the importance of self-examination, to raise funds for cancer charities and to support them by volunteering our time

'Why Challenge 150?' - the answer is simple; over 150 new breast cancer cases are diagnosed in the UK every day (Source: Cancer Research UK).

Over the course of 2025 we will be raising money through different events centred both around our place of work at Aviva but also out in the community, these vary from fitness based sponsored spin, row and walk, to quizzes and bake sales.

We've picked Star Throwers as our charity due to the amazing work they do to support those in the area on their cancer journey as well as their family and friends. Please take time to read about all the excellent things they do to support people through a really tough time!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
