Pilgrimage to Whitby following the footsteps of St Hilda, 12 May 2024
Christian Aid Week 2024
Campaign by Christian Aid (RCN 1105851, SC039150)
This Christian Aid Week (12–18 May), we're highlighting our work in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world financially, and one of the least prepared to combat the effects of climate crisis.

Story

Our 2024 parish pilgrimage takes us to Teesside to walk in the footsteps of St Hilda. Averaging 15 miles a day we will work from Hartlepool to

Whitby through post industrial landscapes, along dramatic coastlines, and through some of the most deprived areas of England.

As we walk we will be praying, witnessing, worshipping, always deeply aware of the fight for social justice that lies at the core of our faith and at the core of the work of Christian Aid.

This Christian Aid week can you help us to support the amazing work of empowering and changing lives carried out by Christian Aid world wide.

Our pilgrimage will mean so much more than sore feet if we can achieve our goal of £3000 so that as we are changed so also are the lives of those less privileged.
