Story
On Saturday 22nd July, friends and family of the Cerebral Clothing brand will be completing the fun and purpose driven event of a sponsored walk up Mt.Snowdon. We massively appreciate your support in donating to our cause, with all proceeds going to the Manchester Mind charity.
We've adopted the name "Walk & Talk" for our event as we want this to be as much about encouraging people to open up and chat freely about their mental health and well-being, as it is having a great day walking through Snowdonia. Sometimes getting outdoors and amongst nature, is the best therapy.
We founded our brand in 2020 after one of our best friends sadly took his own life at the age of 19 years old. It's hard to put into words just how much losing him had, and continues to have, an impact on all of his friends and family members.
It sounds cliche, but from the outside looking in, he would have been the last person that you thought would be struggling with his mental health. He was always smiling, joking around and generally just making everyone else's day that bit brighter. This opened our eyes to the invisible pandemic that is mental health and the importance of protecting it.
Therefore we wanted to create a long lasting brand not only in his memory, but that also opens up the conversation surrounding mental health and challenges the stigma that still exists in today's society.
We want to adjust the way that young people in particular communicate, as well as improving overall attitudes towards mental health in general.
Your generosity means a lot to us, as Manchester Mind are an incredible local charity whose work is something extremely close to our hearts. 100% of the donations from the walk will be going to Manchester Mind to support them as they continue to improve the lives of people with mental health needs.
They are an independent, Manchester-based charity, who support over 7,000 children, young people and adults each and every year. They believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and that they have a part to play in that.
The charity values the commitment of their staff and volunteers, who work hard to ensure services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved. Donations and help from our brand's amazing friends and supporters can help them make a real difference, so thank you for being part of our success.
That’s why we continue to donate 10% of our profits to Manchester Mind as an official partner, and why we will continue to grow our brand’s community through charity events that we feel give back and should provide a sense of achievement and belonging to everyone who chooses to take part.
Thank you for your time in reading this and we appreciate your support in all forms, no matter how big or small.

Director, Cerebral Clothing Ltd.
