Story
I'm walking in memory of my Dad, who died from cancer this year. He was a loving father, a WWII veteran, a keen marathon walker, blind from the age of 90 and yet incredibly determined to remain cheerfully independent.
I, myself, am a cancer survivor and realise the incredible role that Macmillan nurses and Support Workers have in helping people living with cancer.
This walk is also about having fun with my friends while pursuing a lifelong dream of finishing a marathon!
I'm up for the challenge of the Macmillan Mighty Hike along the picturesque Norfolk coastline in May 2024, but I can only do it with your help and support!
By fundraising my pledge of £250, I could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker for two days who could provide emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer.
