Story

Caro, our beautiful daughter and sister, died at St Michael's Hospice in March 2023, aged 38.

We are walking the Camino Way in October 2024 - a trek of over 100km, to raise funds so this amazing place can continue to provide a place of support, refuge and solace for our community.

As a professional photographer, Caro’s work was rooted in challenging walks which took her to many different places in the world.

The Camino was high on her to-do list, so with her spirit in our hearts, she’ll complete it with us.

Over the last year of Caro’s life, St Michael’s Hospice was her refuge.

Caro knew that at St Michael's she would be cherished and cared for in a building surrounded by the incredible nature of the Herefordshire countryside. All her family and friends, including her dog Beam, were made so welcome at any time of day or night .

St Michael’s Hospice is a charity. With just 10% of running costs provided by the NHS, the rest of the care they provide is funded from the £5.2m raised every year to continue this invaluable work.

We’d be delighted if in the near future you’d be generous enough to support our walk with a donation to St Michael’s Hospice in Caro’s memory.

Some of your sponsorship money will be used to pay for the cost of the trip.
