Story
This year for my 22nd birthday, I’d like to raise funds for The Wren Project, after being diagnosed with three autoimmune conditions between the age of 19-21, the support they have given me has been exceptional. After my kidney diagnoses I needed support and their support has gone above and beyond.
Times are hard at the moment but even if you could spare £1 that pound will be helping those with ongoing support.
Having autoimmune conditions can be a lonely and isolated experience which nobody should experience.
The Wren Project offers free, ongoing, one to one, listening support to people with autoimmune disease in the UK. They respond to the emotional challenges caused by a diagnosis of autoimmune disease. In the UK, 6%, or 4 million people, are known to live with at least one autoimmune condition. There are over 80 identified autoimmune diseases, with incidence rising by 3 - 9% each year.
