They include: Care and Share Senior Feeding Program, Harry’s Helpings, Fulfill Mobile Pantries, In-School Pantries and our Partner Agency Program, which is a network of more than 150 partner agencies, including St. Matthew's House, in our five-county footprint.
Harry Chapin food bank provides more than 70% of the inventory of the food pantries across southwest Florida. Since the start of the pandemic, our food distribution has ballooned by 83 percent. We now help feed a quarter of a million people who are hungry each month in in our five-county footprint. To meet the enormous demand, your food bank has increased its spending on food from roughly $37,500 a month to one million dollars per month.
We remain committed to fighting hunger and we are very grateful to our generous supporters that are helping us to ensure that no one has to go hungry.
