Story

Help us change the story of cancer at the Cambridge Dragon Boat Race 2024!

The 18th Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival takes place on Saturday 7th September on the River Cam at Fen Ditton.

The Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital project team, supported by colleagues working in Cancer services at Addenbrooke’s and our amazing Patient Advisory Group are excited to be taking part in the boat festival this year.

We’re hoping to make a big splash and ‘drum up’ further support for the East of England’s future cancer hospital.

The facility will bring together clinical and research expertise in a new world-class hospital designed in partnership with our patients. We will detect cancer earlier, treat it more precisely and save more lives.

All funds raised from the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival 2024 via Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust will be supporting Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital.

For further information about the new hospital, please visit: https://www.cambridgecancer.org.uk/

So please donate and come and support us– we’re racing for the future! #ChangingTheStoryOfCancer

About the charity

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
